2022 CLAS Outstanding Outreach and Public Engagement Award, granted by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. According to CLAS Dean Sara Sanders, "This year the Executive Committee and collegiate deans were enthusiastic in their praise of the many ways in which you have made public engagement a hallmark of your teaching and outreach activities. In their letter of nomination, Rachel Williams and Teresa Mangum write that outreach and public engagement has been an integral part of your work throughout your career at the University of Iowa: “Both undergraduates and graduate students benefit enormously from Professor Nabhan-Warren’s deep experience with publicly engaged research and commitment to sharing her work with communities outside the university.” They write that both your research and your teaching are deeply rooted in fostering community; bridge building across diverse perspectives and marginalized groups; and representing each person with respect, dignity, and compassion."

Congratulations Dr. Nabhan-Warren on these prestigious awards!
