John Sheridan has been awarded the Ballard & Seashore Dissertation Fellowship by the U of I Graduate College for the Spring 2024 semester.  This fellowship will provide him the opportunity to benefit from a final semester of protected and supported time to focus on completing his scholarly research activities and the writing of his dissertation. 

John is a fourth-year PhD candidate being advised by Dr. Kristy Nabhan-Warren.  He studies the Hutterites, and feels that studying the Hutterites matter because "...it addresses identity and division in North America."  John was recently interviewed for our Graduate Student Spotlight page where he talked about his studies and plans for the future.
