Kefas Lamak, PhD Post Comp has been awarded the ASMEA Travel Grant for his paper on “History from the Margin: Indigenous African Women as Missionaries, Preachers, Evangelists, and Receivers of Christianity in the Interactions of Niger Missions in the Middle Belt States of Nigeria from 1860-1960.”
ASMEA is the Association for the Study of the Middle East and Asia. Kefas will present his paper at the Sixteenth Annual ASMEA Conference on Nov. 4-6 in Washington, D.C.
Kefas has also been awarded a grant from the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church (HSEC). This grant was awarded to support his research.
